The Centennial Knights will head out on the road to take on the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Centennial suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 91-54 loss at the hands of Kell. While losing is never fun, Centennial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Kell is ranked third).
Meanwhile, even though North Springs scored an imposing 78 points on Tuesday, Greater Atlanta Christian still came out on top. Greater Atlanta Christian enjoyed a cozy 92-78 victory over North Springs.
Greater Atlanta Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Harry out in front who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Harry also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Mikey Carpenter was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven assists.
Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.
Centennial opened the new year with a less-than-successful 94-82 loss to Greater Atlanta Christian. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Greater Atlanta Christian's Rich Rojas, who scored 38 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
