Basketball Recap: Pennsauken Tech Falls Despite Big Games from Omari Spencer and Nehemiah Zayas De Jesus

Pennsauken Tech lost against Moorestown Friends last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Pennsauken Tech took a 46-32 bruising from the Moorestown Friends Foxes. Pennsauken Tech's defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Nehemiah Zayas De Jesus and Omari Spencer certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Zayas De Jesus posted six points and three steals, while Spencer dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Zayas De Jesus a new career-high in steals.

Even though they lost, Pennsauken Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Pennsauken Tech now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Moorestown Friends, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Pennsauken Tech will square off against Riverside at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Moorestown Friends, they will face off against Maple Shade at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
