Football Recap: James Demski Leads Atlantic's Defense on Friday

Atlantic fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Eustis on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 12-6 to the Panthers. The Sharks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Even if they lost, Atlantic's defense still kept up the pressure with ten sacks. James Demski led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Damian Rodriguez was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.

The critical scores for Eustis came from Amari Jackson and Jermaine Reed.

Atlantic's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eustis, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic will challenge Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eustis, they will take on Umatilla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
