Softball Recap: Northwest Knights vs. Deer Park Wildcats
Northwest extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They came up short against the Deer Park Wildcats, falling 20-8. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 21-4 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Deer Park, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
For Deer Park's part, the team relied heavily on Rosalyn Stahley, who fired off four runs, four doubles, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four doubles gave Stahley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grace Louden, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Coming up, Northwest will welcome Indian Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Deer Park, they will venture away from home to take on Cincinnati Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
