Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Nova

Nova put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Deerfield Beach Bucks. While the Titans didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The team relied heavily on Musa Adeoye, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Jordan Gonzalez also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Nova pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Deerfield Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Nova wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 11-1 victory against McArthur on the 24th. As for Deerfield Beach, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against Fort Lauderdale on the 24th.
