Recap: Klahowya Eagles vs. Bellevue Christian Vikings
The Klahowya Eagles were the 44-43 winner over the Bellevue Christian Vikings when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Klahowya took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellevue Christian. While losing is never fun, Klahowya can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while Bellevue Christian is ranked 134th).
Klahowya lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eli Kraft, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Kraft hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Langguth, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Klahowya's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bellevue Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klahowya will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Annie Wright at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Bellevue Christian, they will face off against Cascade Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cascade Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
