Basketball Recap: Zumbrota-Mazeppa Wins Going Away Against Blooming Prairie

Zumbrota-Mazeppa hadn't done well against Blooming Prairie recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars enjoyed a cozy 40-25 victory over the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 66-57 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Zumbrota-Mazeppa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Blooming Prairie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

As for Blooming Prairie, they are taking a road trip to challenge Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
