Basketball Recap: Bearden Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

There's no place like home for Bearden, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 win over the Cleveland Blue Raiders on Tuesday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Blue Raiders are ranked 32nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cleveland's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lauren Hurst, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards, and Laney Copeland, who went 6 for 14 on her way to 17 points. Copeland continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
