Recap: The Pinnacle Timberwolves vs. Sheridan Rams
The Pinnacle Timberwolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sheridan 59-29 at home. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for The Pinnacle this season.
The Pinnacle found their leader in underclassman Caleb Arellano, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Arellano hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Agustin Jaime, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Sheridan saw an underclassman step up: Armando Monarrez scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Bobby Garcia was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
The win makes it two in a row for The Pinnacle and bumps their season record up to 2-5. As for Sheridan, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Pinnacle will take on Jefferson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jefferson is on a three-game streak of home losses, The Pinnacle a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Sheridan, they will head out on the road to face off against Englewood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Englewood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday.
