Volleyball Preview: Pinecrest Patriots vs. Cape Fear Colts

Pinecrest won the last time they faced Richmond Senior and Aubrey Taylor did her part to make sure it happened again. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 win over the Raiders on Thursday thanks in part to Taylor, who had 20 digs and six aces. Pinecrest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Cape Fear entered their tilt with Pine Forest on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Trojans 3-0.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.
Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Cape Fear, their win bumped their record up to 15-6.
