Baseball Recap: Coginchaug Regional Comes Up Short

Coginchaug Regional came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sheehan Titans, falling 15-1. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Coginchaug Regional's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Sheehan, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

When Coginchaug Regional and Sheehan next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Blue Devils will try to stop Old Saybrook's three-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Sheehan will square off against Amity Regional and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
