Softball Recap: Delta Huskies vs. Kodiak Bears
Delta and Kodiak squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Delta had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Kodiak Bears by a score of 7-6. Delta was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kodiak apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2022.
Nadia Chernich was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now hit three or more in the last three games she's played.
Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Kodiak, their win bumped their record up to 24-5.
Delta does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kodiak, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-5 loss vs. Sitka on the 1st.
