Softball Recap: Hale County Takes a Loss

Hale County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bibb County Choctaws, falling 15-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 15-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hale County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JJ McDaniel, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Hale County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bibb County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hale County will take on Gordo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bibb County, they will challenge West Blocton at 5:00 p.m. on March 6th.
