Baseball Recap: Knippa Comes Up Short

Knippa came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 21-5 to the D'Hanis Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-4 last Friday.

Knippa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joaquin G, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. G has become a key player for the Crushers: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise.

Knippa's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for D'Hanis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Knippa will face off against rival Falls City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, D'Hanis is set to square off against their familiar foe La Pryor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
