Duke, Kansas and Kentucky are just a few of the college basketball powers on the trail of Wendell Carter Jr., a 6-foot-10, 245-pound power forward from Pace Academy (Atlanta).

Carter has a distinguished resume already and hopes to add to it in the coming weeks by leading Pace Academy to Georgia's Class AA state title.

Hall of Fame basketball writer Frank Burlison identified Carter as his Class of 2017 Player of the Summer in 2015 following a gold medal performance with USA Basketball and EYBL title with the Georgia Stars.

In June, Carter averaged 13.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game as USA Basketball went 5-0 en route to the gold medal at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Argentina. He shined once again with the Stars at the prestigious Nike Peach Jam in July, averaging over 14 points and seven rebounds as the Georgia-based squad took home the EYBL title.

The 247Sports Composite lists Carter as the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2017 class.
