Baseball Recap: Irving Plays to a Tie

Irving had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They and the North Mesquite Stallions finished up their match with a 3-3 tie on Friday.

Carson Vasquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had over his last five games.

Irving's tie makes their record 3-7-1 this season. Meanwhile, North Mesquite's record is now 3-2-1.

Irving wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Lancaster on the 7th. As for North Mesquite, they will venture away from home to take on Seagoville at 4:30 p.m. on March 14th. The last three games North Mesquite has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
