Recap: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans vs. Mohonasen Warriors
The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 43-8 win over Mohonasen. The result was nothing new for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Dj Mosher was his usual excellent self, rushing for 72 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Mosher is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Mohonasen, South Glens Falls, and Saratoga Springs. As for Mohonasen, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Columbia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 268th, while Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake is ranked 82nd). Mohonasen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
