Baseball Recap: New Miami Takes a Loss

New Miami and Fayetteville-Perry squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but New Miami had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Vikings couldn't push the score so high this time.

New Miami's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Fayetteville-Perry, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

New Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayetteville-Perry, they will face off against Newton Local at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Rockets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
