Basketball Recap: Hunter Redgate Key Part of Team Effort in Heat Win

NC H proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 36) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Heat have posted since January 20th.

NC H got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Redgate out in front who posted 17 points. Redgate has become a key player for the Heat: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 1-2 otherwise. Trey Redgate was another key player, putting up 14 points.

NC H has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. NC H will challenge Chatham HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will face off against South Charlotte at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
