Football Recap: Cardington-Lincoln Takes a Loss

Cardington-Lincoln dropped to 3-4 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 36-12 to the Danville Blue Devils. The Pirates were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Danville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3. That looming 36-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Danville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Parker Proper, who threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 32 yards. Cyren Wallace was another key back, rushing for 102 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cardington-Lincoln will square off against Loudonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Danville, they will challenge Centerburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
