Baseball Recap: Cedar Crest Comes Up Short

Cedar Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the Manheim Township Blue Streaks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Streaks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in April.

Cedar Crest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Marley, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Another was Isaac Kreider, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one stolen base.

Cedar Crest's record is now 6-13. As for Manheim Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Manheim Township beat Cedar Crest by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.
