Preview: Berkeley Prep vs. Bishop Verot
Berkeley Prep is 3-0 against Bishop Verot since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers will head out on the road to challenge the Bishop Verot Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, Berkeley Prep rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They blew past the Lakers 7-3. The win was nothing new for Berkeley Prep as they're now sitting on six straight.
Their offense was hitting Windermere Prep from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.
Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Bishop Verot made sure to put some goals up on the board against Oasis on Tuesday. They never let the Sharks onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Bishop Verot who now have five in a row.
Berkeley Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those five contests. As for Bishop Verot, their win bumped their record up to 17-1-1.
Berkeley Prep skirted past Bishop Verot 2-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2020. Does Berkeley Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Verot turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
