Recap: South Cobb Eagles vs. Lakeside Vikings
The South Cobb Eagles won the last time they faced the Lakeside Vikings, and things went their way on Friday too. South Cobb managed a 50-45 win over Lakeside. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as South Cobb did.
It was another big night for Rajah Morgan, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Wicker, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Tillman, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Zayd Muhammad was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
South Cobb's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing North Atlanta the next time they take the court. Lakeside will head out to face North Atlanta at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while South Cobb will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
