The Garner Longhorns are taking a road trip to square off against the Olney Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garner is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.

Garner took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 victory over Lingleville.

Garner got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Avry Smith out in front who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards. Smith has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Channing Keeling, who posted 13 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Olney made easy work of Millsap on Tuesday and carried off a 60-40 victory.

Olney's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Garner, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Garner couldn't quite get it done against Olney in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 52-44. Can the Longhorns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
