Basketball Recap: Eleanor Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Eleanor Roosevelt lost against Flowers back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders took a hard 66-48 fall against the Flowers Jaguars.

It was another big night for Tyrell Bowles, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards for Flowers. Bowles is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last eight games he's played. Brandon Brooks was another key player, putting up 12 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.

Eleanor Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Flowers, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Coming up, Eleanor Roosevelt will head out on the road to challenge Suitland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Suitland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Eleanor Roosevelt likes a good challenge. As for Flowers, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flowers is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.9 points per game this season.
