Volleyball Game Preview: Summit SkyHawks vs. Arroyo Valley Hawks

The Summit SkyHawks will square off against the Arroyo Valley Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arroyo Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Summit, who comes in off a win.

While Summit's victory against San Gorgonio wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The SkyHawks won by a set and slipped past the Spartans 3-2. The SkyHawks haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Summit got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Valley lost 3-0 to Fontana on Monday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arroyo Valley was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fontana work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 26-24, 25-14.

Arroyo Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Summit took their win against Arroyo Valley in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the SkyHawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
