Basketball Recap: Ballston Spa Takes a Loss

Ballston Spa played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Colonie Central Wolfpack 70-23. While losing is never fun, the Scotties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 20th).

When it comes to explaining why Ballston Spa lost, don't look at Jessica Bowens. Despite the final result, she posted five points. Bowens is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Ballston Spa's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Colonie Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ballston Spa has already played their next game (against Shenendehowa), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Colonie Central has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
