Softball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, West Point was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Good Hope Raiders. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost five in a row.

West Point saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Averee Folds, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Good Hope, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will host Russellville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Good Hope, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Lawrence at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
