Softball Recap: Immanuel Has No Trouble Against Washington Union

Immanuel barely beat Washington Union the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles blew past the Panthers 12-0 on Wednesday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Amanda Herrera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-4. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maritzah Cibrian was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Natalia Delgadillo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Immanuel was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Immanuel's record now sits at 9-3-2. As for Washington Union, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
