Basketball Recap: Austin Sperry Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Rockcastle County

On Saturday, the Breathitt County Bobcats didn't have too much trouble with the Rockcastle County Rockets as they won 71-54.

Breathitt County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin Sperry led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 assists. The match was Sperry's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Stallard, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 18 points.

The victory got Breathitt County back to even at 1-1. As for Rockcastle County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Breathitt County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-69 win against Pineville on the 10th. As for Rockcastle County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-62 victory against Berea on the 9th.
