Basketball Recap: Spring Creek's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Spring Creek extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Tayden Francis. The Spring Creek Spartans took down the Hug Hawks 53-34 on Saturday thanks in part to Francis, who went 5 for 6 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. His afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Scott Bylund, who posted nine points in addition to seven boards and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Spring Creek is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Hug, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Spring Creek is taking a road trip to square off against Lowry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lowry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Hug, they will welcome North Valleys at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Valleys also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 60.5 points per game.
