Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Legacy Lightning

The Boulder Panthers struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Legacy Lightning had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Boulder took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy. Boulder has not had much luck with Legacy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was George Schmid, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schmid has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kyle Blauch, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds.

Legacy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Domsch, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Joey Delescinskis was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.

Boulder has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Legacy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Boulder will head out on the road to challenge Poudre at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Poudre is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Legacy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Brighton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Legacy is ranked 57th).
