Softball Recap: Maywood CES Takes a Loss

Maywood CES was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Sotomayor Wolves, falling 19-9. That's two games in a row now that the Wolfpack have lost by exactly ten runs.

Emily Marin was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Marin is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Camila Dominguez, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Maywood CES' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Sotomayor, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

While Maywood CES had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
