Soccer Recap: Westland Comes Up Short

Westland lost against Big Walnut back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 8-4. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Westland were already down 4-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Westland and nudges their season record down to 3-11-1. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matches. As for Big Walnut, their win bumped their record up to 10-4-3.

Looking ahead, Westland will take on Bishop Ready at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Big Walnut, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lincoln on the 11th.
