Softball Game Preview: Pleasant Spartans vs. Galion Tigers

For the second straight game, Pleasant will face off against Galion. The Spartans will face off against the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Pleasant is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Galion a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

Pleasant lost 10-3 to Galion on Tuesday.

For Galion's part, Maddie Beck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. Beck has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madelyn Schieber was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Kortnie Ganshorn was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Galion's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
