Baseball Recap: Dillon Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dillon hadn't done well against Waccamaw recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win was the third in a row for Dillon, bringing their record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Waccamaw, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Waccamaw has already played their next matchup, an 8-3 win against Johnsonville on the 31st. Hopefully Dillon paid attention to the Warriors' game: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
