Soccer Game Preview: Red Oak vs. Kaufman

Red Oak is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Kaufman is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hawks will host the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Red Oak had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Midlothian put an end to it on Tuesday. The Hawks came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0. Red Oak haven't had much luck with Midlothian recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Kaufman was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Midlothian Heritage. The shutout was out of character for Kaufman seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in January.

Kaufman's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-4. As for Red Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-3.

Red Oak beat Kaufman 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2025. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
