Central barely beat Little Rock Southwest the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers blew past the Gryphons 13-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-7. As for Little Rock Southwest, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Central and Little Rock Southwest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 142nd) will meet Cabot (ranked eighth) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Little Rock Southwest will challenge Bryant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (181 vs. 35).
