Basketball Recap: Starr's Mill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Harris County last Tuesday, Starr's Mill came back down to earth. The Starr's Mill Panthers lost 64-44 to the Griffin Bears on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Bears since January 11, 2020.

Starr's Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Griffin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Starr's Mill Panthers take on the Jonesboro Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Jonesboro's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 contests. Griffin has already played their next matchup (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
