Unioto strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand the Zane Trace Pioneers a 19-0 shutout. Give the Shermans' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Leading Unioto to victory were Isaac Coy and Cody Braden. Coy threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, while Braden rushed for 104 yards and one score. What's more, Coy racked up 129.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024.

Unioto's run defense was locked in: Zane Trace could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. The team can thank David Long for the heroic effort on defense: he. Unioto's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.8.

Unioto's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Zane Trace, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
