Baseball Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Clovis Cougars
A feisty cat fight will be fought as Kerman Lions duke it out with Clovis Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kerman will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Tuesday, Kerman got the win against Taft by a conclusive 7-1. Considering the Lions have won three games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kerman got a great performance from Cameron Gonzalez as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Gonzalez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Clovis came up short against Stockdale on Tuesday and fell 11-6. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Drake Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Barsotti, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Kerman, their win bumped their record up to 6-2-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster.
