Basketball Recap: Buckhannon-Upshur Comes Up Short

Buckhannon-Upshur was the 51-44 winner over Ripley when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ripley Vikings. That's two games in a row now that the Buccaneers have lost by exactly five points.

This is the second loss in a row for Buckhannon-Upshur and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Ripley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ripley beat Buckhannon-Upshur by a score of 43-38 on Thursday.
