Volleyball Recap: Bishop Hartley Comes Up Short at Home Against Jonathan Alder

Bishop Hartley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Jonathan Alder Pioneers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Jonathan Alder scored at least nine points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 18-25, 15-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Hartley will host London at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jonathan Alder, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Marysville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
