Baseball Game Preview: Bonneville Lakers vs. Roy Royals

For the second straight game, Bonneville will face off against Roy. The Lakers are taking a road trip to take on the Royals at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bonneville took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Roy 3-2.

Ryker Allen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Bonneville is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 6-13 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jet Hirschi, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Bonneville's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-13. As for Roy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
