Basketball Recap: Carlson Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Langtree Charter Academy over Christ the King

Langtree Charter Academy lost against Christ the King back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Langtree Charter Academy Lions fell 56-48 to the Christ the King Crusaders. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carlson Johnson, who went 5 of 7 en route to 11 points. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Martynas Petrauskas was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Langtree Charter Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Christ the King, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Langtree Charter Academy will host Bradford Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Langtree Charter Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Christ the King, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-53 loss against Piedmont Community Charter on the 23rd.
