Basketball Game Preview: Fort Dodge Dodgers vs. Mason City Mohawks

Fort Dodge hasn't had much luck against Mason City recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Fort Dodge Dodgers will head out to take on the Mason City Mohawks at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fort Dodge took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Waterloo East by a score of 62-49.

Meanwhile, Mason City waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Bobcats 44-30.

Fort Dodge is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Mason City, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.

Fort Dodge came up short against Mason City in their previous matchup on January 6th, falling 44-32. Can Fort Dodge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
