Humboldt and Hillsboro squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Humboldt had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Trojans. The Cubs' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Ricklyn Hillmon paced Humboldt's offense, picking up six kills. Hillmon were helped by Bailey Daniels and Lakyn Meadows, who contributed five assists each.

Amyah Werth was a one-woman wrecking crew For Hillsboro. as she had 18 digs and three assists. That's the most digs Werth has posted over her last eight contests.

Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 34-10. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-9 record this season.
