Football Recap: Melrose Wins Going Away Against Swampscott

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Reading Memorial, Melrose was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 20-6 victory over the Swampscott Big Blue. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Melrose now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Swampscott, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Melrose and Swampscott will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Red Raiders are set to square off against their familiar foe Woburn Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Swampscott will face off against rival Gloucester at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
