Baseball Recap: Cheney Tech Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

Cheney Tech got themselves on the board against East Windsor on Friday, but East Windsor never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Panthers. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 9-4 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

The result came thanks to Spencer Johnson's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks. Cheney Tech is undefeated when Johnson allows one or fewer hits, but 4-5 otherwise.

Cheney Tech's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for East Windsor, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coming up, Cheney Tech will welcome Vinal RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for East Windsor, they will face off against East Granby at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
