Volleyball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westwood Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Mesa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-12.

Ada Larsen was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Westwood, they pushed their record up to 20-16 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Mesa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Skyline on the 23rd. Westwood has also already played their next matchup (against Dobson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
